I lead strategic development and execution of project initiatives aimed at providing clean, reliable, and secure energy to the city of Iqaluit. My role involves overseeing all aspects of the Iqaluit Nukkiksautiit Project, from initial development and project financing to coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of sustainable energy solutions.
I am dedicated to advancing clean energy infrastructure that aligns with the community’s long-term energy goals and environmental stewardship.
I studied Ocean and Naval Architectural Engineering at Memorial University of Newfoundland, specializing in ice and harsh environment applications. I am completing a Master of Science in Energy and Climate at Johns Hopkins University, building on a career dedicated to complex energy infrastructure. My background centres on the energy sector, with a specific focus on renewable energy projects and high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems across Canada.
I grew up on the island of Newfoundland with deep family connections to coastal Labrador, which instilled in me an appreciation for community independence and security. These values were further reinforced through my professional experiences in Northern Canada, where I have had the privilege of working in many communities and meeting wonderful people. Working with NNC allows me to pursue a mission I truly believe in: that energy security is achievable for all communities.
