I was born and raised in Iqaluit and am now raising my children here. I came to NNC with 20 years of work experience, mostly as a public servant for the Government of Nunavut. Early in my role with NNC, I was accepted for and completed the 20/20 Catalyst Program with Indigenous Clean Energy, which is a 6-month intensive capacity building program for Inuit, Metis and First Nations developing clean energy projects.
I support events, logistics, and communications for public engagement efforts, mostly for the Iqaluit Nukkiksautiit Project. I liaise directly with community leaders to coordinate on local needs, bi-directional information sharing, public participation, IQ and feedback integration, and benefits-sharing plans.
